A European perennial that likes partial shade to full sun, with moist soil, does well in all types of soil. Herbal Use - Contains methyl salicylate which was extracted in the 1830's, aspirin (named after Spirea) was synthesized 60 years later by bayer. It has anti-inflammatory, diuretic actions and promotes sweating. Harvest the tops while flowering in summer. |
